The Salem District Administration has initiated preparations for the upcoming Census 2027 by announcing district-wide awareness activities and requesting public cooperation during the forthcoming door-to-door enumeration process. Officials have informed residents that census operations are expected to be conducted across Salem district beginning in August.
Authorities emphasised the importance of accurate demographic information for effective planning and implementation of government welfare schemes, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and public services. Residents have been advised to cooperate fully with authorised census officials and provide correct household information during the survey.
The administration also clarified that trained enumerators will visit households following official procedures while maintaining confidentiality of personal information. Awareness campaigns are being organised to educate citizens about the significance of the nationwide census exercise.
Officials believe that active public participation will contribute to reliable population statistics and improved long-term planning for Salem district’s future development.
