The Salem District Administration organised special welfare camps for tribal communities living in remote regions of the district. The initiative aimed to improve access to essential government services and welfare benefits for tribal families.
Officials from multiple departments participated in the camps, providing assistance related to identity documentation, social welfare schemes, healthcare enrolment, education support, pensions, and public grievance registration. Residents were also guided on various state and central government welfare programmes available to eligible beneficiaries.
The administration highlighted the importance of ensuring that tribal communities receive timely access to government services without travelling long distances. Special attention was given to addressing individual grievances and facilitating faster processing of applications.
The initiative reflects Salem district’s continued efforts to promote inclusive governance and improve public service delivery in geographically remote areas.
